BELGIUM DAYS IN HONG KONG WITH OUR CHEF ALEXANDRE CIRELLO

Culinary exploration in Hong Kong, an unforgettable Belgian Odyssey.

We're delighted to share with you an extraordinary culinary experience that took place from November 13 to 19 in Hong Kong, highlighting the gastronomic delights of Belgium. In collaboration with our talented chef Alexandre Ciriello, we had the privilege of exploring Belgian flavors in an unforgettable journey thanks to the Consulate General of Belgium in Hong Kong & Macau, but also to the collaboration of Wallonie Bruxelles International.

The most unexpected event was undoubtedly the surreal tasting of our famous Belgian fries, accompanied by three emblematic sauces representing the Walloon, Flemish and Brussels regions imagined by the chef, or simmered meat. A veritable feast for the senses, each mouthful transported our guests on a unique gustatory journey through Belgium, all the while on the rooftop of Hong Kong's prestigious Pullman overlooking bucolic Chinese landscapes.

The culmination of this gastronomic week was a sumptuous gala dinner for 400 guests at one of the city's most prestigious hotels. Under the guidance of our chef, voted Young Chef of the Year by Gault&Millau that same year, guests had the privilege of sampling our identity through Belgian-inspired dishes with a touch of modernity and that eternal passion for Asia. A symphony of flavors that delighted the most discerning palates on an evening when the two countries, China and Belgium, were in perfect harmony to present a memorable culinary symphony.

But the experience didn't stop there. We also had the pleasure of welcoming an exclusive group for a prestigious Walking Dinner aboard the yacht "The Wan" on the famous Tai Tam Reservoir for the Juceani brand, a Belgian diamond dealer based in Hong Kong. Against a backdrop of breathtaking scenery, our guests savored creative appetizers, one of which was even served in a gift box.

This week in Hong Kong will remain engraved in our memories as a true culinary odyssey, where the passion for creative Belgian cuisine was celebrated in all its splendor and not overtaken by the eternal classics. Our chef was able to showcase our Belgian heritage through creative, modern dishes, perfectly combining the Euro-Asian fusion he handles so well. We would like to warmly thank the Consul General, Mr. Davide Lo Mastro, and his wife for the invitation, as well as all the partners who worked to make this Belgian week one in which Belgian creativity and know-how were showcased.
