History

After graduating from hospitality school, Alexandre Ciriello began his career under the renowned chef Peter Goossens, where he discovered the fundamentals of gastronomy. He then honed his technique with Yves Mattagne, learning the rigor and creativity that define haute cuisine.

His participation in the television competition Objectif Top Chef, orchestrated by Philippe Etchebest, allowed him to acquire valuable skills while creating memorable experiences with the esteemed chef. Subsequently, Alexandre joined Maxime Colin's team before realizing his childhood dream: opening his own restaurant.

Since its opening in 2017, L'Horizon has evolved with a dynamic culinary approach. Like a fine wine, Alexandre's cuisine has matured over time, earning numerous accolades. In its first year, the restaurant was awarded "Discovery of the Year 2018" by Gault & Millau, with a score of 14/20. In 2019, it won the Delta d'Or, and its rating increased to 14.5/20.

In 2021, the Michelin Guide recognized the excellence of L'Horizon, and in 2023, Alexandre was named Young Chef of the Year for Wallonia by Gault & Millau, propelling the restaurant to three toques with a score of 15/20.

As the awards continue to accumulate, our loyal clientele remains our greatest pride. L'Horizon is also a member of prestigious associations such as the Young Restaurateurs and the French Association of Master Restaurateurs, reflecting our commitment to culinary excellence.
